Custom E-commerce Store Design Process
Commerce Helper, Inc. will provide your business with a dynamic Website and the appropriate combination of products and services needed to expand your offering to the online marketplace. This proposal outlines a project scope and fee schedule for the following work:
- Analyze marketing needs and technical requirements.
- Perform market research to establish a broad target market and design theme based on specific marketing needs.
- Design 3 Websites concepts consisting of up to 2 design mockups each. Each round producing both a homepage and interior page design concept (a detailed explanation of design rounds is included below).
- Convert the final design to web formatted templates. All sites will be developed with W3C standards compliant XHTML1.0 and CSS (“geek speak” translation: your site will be built according to professional standards ensuring consistency and accessibility across all major browsers and operating systems, as well as providing a foundation for effective search engine optimization). All interface graphics are optimized to be fast loading.
- Integrate templates with our hosted content management system (CMS for short) providing your company with the option of real-time editing of site content using only a web browser.
- Optimize each template for maximum search engine friendliness based on your unique business key phrases.
- Once your site is put together we will work with you to organize your navigation and publish your content online. Launch support includes two training sessions of one hour each to help you get familiar with the features of the CMS.
On average the complete process takes about two months. However, we've seen timelines for a standard project range anywhere from two weeks to over several months to complete; depending on the readiness of your business’ infrastructure, your team’s availability, responsiveness and turnaround on requested materials. This last part is particularly important, as the more effort you or your staff can devote to the creation of content and strategy the more effective the site will be.
